Just for Grumpies

This is the last grump from me I promise.
Tv programme makers.
They start the half hour programme showing us what saw last week, then they show us what we are about to see on tonight's show after the adverts, then come the adverts.
After the adverts they actually show us this weeks programme which lasts 5 minutes. They finish by showing us clips of what we've just seen and what we will see next week.
Is it just me?
Thank goodness for pausing live TV and fast forwarding the adverts.

Homers handicap record. That should be kept secret, in case Dodger finds out the true story of homergate.

To keep to the thread, people failing to lift their feet while walking and just shuffling their feet along making lots of noise.

But I am a fairly new member and have heard this alluded to before, how sensitive is the true story of " homergate" ?

No Bob. It's not just you. It's all part of the dumbing down.

Go to any group training session, seminar or whatever and you get...

1. This is what we are going to tell you.

2. Now we are telling you.

3. This is what we told you. Tell them 3 times and they might remember - just.

Simples

:D

The one I really love is the way the programmes are cut to get the adverts in, solely on time. How often, especially in a film, do you get a scene change moments before the advert break.
What's so sacrosanct about the break being at exactly that moment? Would 30 secs earlier or later hurt the advertiser (who the hell buys off a tv advert anyway?) - or would it mean that someone actually has to do his job?

Steve, you bugger. You've just reminded me of another one.
Films on ITV that have a break of about an hour for news and weather.

well one of us has to have the brains, and you're ex-waf :p

but yes, you're right about that one.

You get your 22 month old son ready for nursery - jumper on, coat on, hat on, gloves on - you go into the kitchen to check the back door is locked - come back into the front room and the little sod has taken it all off!! :)

What do I hate ?

Life !

Don't get me started about life !

That, and whingers.

Can't stand whingers

Two things I can't stand is life and whingers.

And tv.

Three things I can't stand are life, whingers, and tv.

And work.......

Just got me thinking about the Python sketch "what did the Romans ever do for us". :D

And the youngsters with their jeans hanging off their arse bones and shuffling the buddy feet.
