There don't seem to be any end of season slow down for me.

We've got a stableford today, medal next Friday then another stableford on the 20th Nov and a shotgun on the 24th. I've also got a work golf day at Brookmans Park on the 28th, plus 3 winter league matchplay games arranged!

A busy November then!! Anyone else not slowed down for winter just yet?

not too many official comps, just a 12 hole stableford on Thursdays and a winter league, but I will still be at the course as often as in summer if it is open.

Our comps go down to 2 a month until April. One is midweek though so effectively it's one a month for me.
Why do clubs do that, Most golfers who play comps in the summer want competitive golf all year round. My 2 clubs have a totally different attitude to comps through the winter, The 9 hole club has more comps on than the main clubs so I play all my competitive golf there all winter.

Our qualifiers have finished until April now.

Aside for the winter league, there is no competative golf at my gaf.

It's ideal for me as I can work on improving my swing over the winter, without competition distraction.

Simple answer is no for me, Still play 3-4 qualifiers a month all the way through to April! Have a medal once a month and winter League Twice a month at 1 course, Winter Stableford once a month at the other course.

seasons over up here, in fact as I was driving through the cold rain this morning listening to the forecast saying it will be about zero degrees tonight and its getting colder, wetter and windier, there was only 2 words that uttered from my lips........last word was OFF!

Well todays stableford didn't go very well. 32 points in the end. 17 front 15 back and that was with a 7 a 6 and two blobs.

Won't be playing as much golf as in the summer due to not being able to go out after work plus some Saturdays it will be too dark to make it worth playing by the time the mens comps tee times have passed:rolleyes: I'm going to have to enter all the ladies comps on a Thursday and do the roll ups on a Tuesday to get my fix.
