john daley

JD is an uncut diamond , which unfortunatly doesnt look like going to the jeweler anytime shortly .. Sure he was a breath of fresh air & we all enjoyed the ordinary guy making it big , unfortunatly whether you like it or not when you get there you have responsabilities to other people , ie sponsors, tour organisers, paying spectators , if you keep burning bridges the way back gets very very difficult .. as for deserving slack ? he is/was at the top table of golf with endless ability of earnings , he keeps blowing it , maybe he got too much too quick, but for what ever reason if you keep bighting the hand that feeds you dont be shocked when the food stops coming ..

Totally agreed, and Tiger is still the greatest golfer who ever walked a course.:ears:

Think Mr Nicklaus would ahve something to say - except he's to much of a gent to bang his own drum.

Daly I'm afraid is nothing more than a sideshow these days. On a good day he can still make a good score but he has too many bad days now where he loses the plot and his dignity (the recent Australian event being the latest in a long line). It feels to me at least that he is sometimes at an event just to hawk his music and clothes rather than for the golf but I guess as long as the invites are there he'll keep doing it. Sadly though I think he's burning too many bridges and he won't get to play much in the US and Australia anymore and if he starts to walk off and disappoint sponors in Europe he's going to run out of places to play.

Funnily enough there was talk of making a film of his life story. Now that could be worth watching

personally I dont really care whether or not he is a liability, whether Tiger is a spent force etc etc

As a newcomer to playing but a watcher since childhood I love watching any pro golfer do his thing.

We are very quick to knock folk yet can't even get close to their ability whether it be natural or manufactured. Hypocrisy of the highest order, if Daley or Woods went and won another major this year everyone would be jumping on the bandwagon singing their praises and kissing their posterior.

Nuff said :)
