Sadly I don't think Danny is ready for the sparkling wit and repartee of our Smiffy and the top GM boys will be looking after him. Probably just as well as 18 holes with Smiffy may be more than any sports psychologist could help with.

I'm sure we can drag him down to our level, an exploding golf ball or two, air horn in the bag, pocket full of loose change, cough, cough, drop the golf bag during his swing, or if push comes to shove sneak another club into his bag while his caddie aint looking and wait until the 10th hole and casually say, "your bag looks like its got alot of clubs in there"

Looks like Sam Hutsby has made the cut but is nine off the pace at the moment (-3). David Lynn leading at -12 will part of the second round to be completed

Not a good day for Sam (+2 today) and tied 69th. Danny Willett looked good until he hit trouble at the par 3 12th. Tidy finish though. Would love to see Darren Clarke get back to winning ways
