It doesn't get better than this

Today my partner and I played in the quarter final of our 4BBB winter league. After winning our group and getting through the last 16 stage in the knockout, we played two 4 handicappers. They are pretty much the best players in the club and a great pair of guys.

They started by going one up on the 1st and everytime we got back to all square they won another hole until we won the 15th when I birdied to go all square yet again. I won the 16th with a par and a shot and wrapped it up on 17 with my partner birdie'ing. When we walked off the 17th I was one under par gross for that 9

The rain went through just before a 1pm tee off and the sun shone at times.

A situation developed on the last hole that summed up the 2 guys we played, one of them hit his tee shot up against a silver birch tree and into a small hole. They said that they couldn't be sure that it was a scrape and played it as it lay. I would have been happy with a drop had they asked and I was so impressed with their sportsmanship on a hole that they had to get at least a half and knowing that being honest virtually made cirtain that we would win.
