Our club champion has asked me to partner her in the Daily Mail Foursomes which she qualifies for as the gross champion. She has better/lower handicap players to pick from and her partner in the winter league plays off 7...but, her words, "I just love playing golf with you"

No pressure then!! She's a great girl - only 14 and plays off 8 and is a joy to watch. We get on really well on the course and both like to practice hard but enjoy it too.

We play at Wyboston Lakes, not sure what the draw is yet.

Are you not off to the match tonight? Hope its closer than the other week.

I'm in the lower of the away end, I'll give you a wave, and promise not to indulge myself in the cafe, Mrs whiplash is watching!!

Watching it on TV. Stopped going to footie matches years ago and these days I'll pay for a rugby ticket but not so much football. I think we'll miss Kompany more than the Toure brothers so it may be closer than last week...

A bovril from the cafe will be fine :rolleyes:

Not at them prices, £2.50 for a bovril!!! Thankfully it was £4.50 for a chicken burger, so didn't indulge.

Your right about Kompany, a fantastic player and leader as well. Now he was a snip at £5 mil.

Congrats on the daily mail team invite, a very nice thing when someone says that about you, especially from the younger generation, you must be so cooooooolllllll.

£2.50 - yikes!! We were rubbish and was disappointed Micah Richards didn't lead the team better although he tried by example but it needs more than that to be a good skipper.

My winter pairs partner is 16 and my gorgeous nephew says I'm the coolest Aunty in the world so I must be :cheers:
