If you were a Premiership Football Team....

For Footy fans....

With my own club heading out of the Premiership - I am drawing comparisons with my golf game to the plight of the not-so-mighty Boro. So, who would you compare yours to from the PL this year?

Anyone who says a team from the top four better have a good reason!

Alex

Definately Everton - been in the doldrums for a few years now definately on the up , albeit with a few duff runs every now and again

I think I'm an Arsenal.......capable of beating anyone, and playing a very sexy game, but very patchy ultimately and sadly finishing with nothing to show for it.

Arsenal - capable of some, dare I say, brilliance :). But the weaknesses are obvious and never seem to get sorted :(. But hopefully this year I'll buy my way back to the top (with lessons & a putter) :p!

Arsenal- My game is very young, looks good with great potential, but just lacks that something solid. Maybe strengthening the squad a little (few playing lessons) will give the Coaches (pro) something new to work with.

Sunderland. Hoping we're the only north eastern team in the Prem come the end of the season!! :)

How does this relate to your golf game??? :D

Not sure where Redwood stands on this one, but seeing as I was originally from the North East I do have strong feelings about Sunderland even now... Though that's beside the point.

But I'll answer for why I might choose them. Always the Underdogs & can never be disconted, as they can often suprise when the odds are stacked against them. Then of course, no matter how badly they play they can also still occasonally get a result. Yet still capable of no score no matter how many good opertunities they have for scorring.

I think I saw one game, infact it was depressing & embaressing to watch, not long ago they could have been outplayed by a bunch of five year olds, they barely looked as if they knew how to play the game & then a very recent match they could easily have had five goal & yet it still ended in a nill all stale-mate

They also never really seem to advance beyond a certain point either...

Most of that at times can sum up my golf game, which would be far better than my Football game any day of the week. I much prefer Rugby & Cricket to football.

Liverpool for me. Having a better season than in previous years, and am actually starting to compete on the golf course (when it matters), whilst improving my all round game.

This morning it was Hull City.....1 under after 7 and never missed a shot then the wobble came with bogies at 8 and 9 before I was engulfed in a torrid run that included two Quads and a double to leaving me with th life support machine on but threatning to be switched off!!
