...pick your house up and move it anywhere in the UK where would you put it and why?

For me, it would be south east. Near channel tunnel and warmer weather.
Not too close to Bexhill though. Dont want bugger lugs phoning me up for games of golf every 5 mins.  ;)

Some where near the sea. I love being by the sea.

But that would make my commute to work a bit long.

Also, I'd miss my mates at the golf club, because that would be a fair commute too.

So given that, I'd move it to Radlett. Then sell it, and buy back my original plot of land, have my house built as it was, and pocket about a million in loose change.

North Cornwall coast, somewhere near Rock.

Then quite happily play St Enedoc for the rest of my days.

this is too easy..

I'd move from Coventry to the village in Oxfordshire where the wife was born, the house would more than double in value and the wife would be one happy bunny.

go west . . .
has to be Cornwall, preferably north coast (better beaches) but further west, St Ives and the West Cornwall, Gunwalloe and Perranporth, though Helford Passage area is nice

I live about 6 miles from the Tunnel and you really do have to see the amount of freight lorries that we get round here. All the roads are as busy as hell. Also, the dear old Labour party decided that my home town could comfortably cope with thousands and thousands of new houses but I doubt that the infrastructure will be built to cope.

One good thing though Bob - Bexhill is at least an hour away!

Actually quite happy where I am, but if I was being picky, as Homer said, it's a bit far from any decent shops, so would probably up sticks to Croyde and become a member at Saunton and the missus could shop in Barnstaple.

Agree with Robobum though, Rock is very nice.

For summer months:

Gullane: Great little town with some very good courses in walkable distance, good takeaway shop (a must) and a good pub.

All the family usually go up and stay in a house in the town. Very nice in summer.

For winter months:

Anywhere warm and dry...

I quite like where I am, however if I could go 10 miles east into the New Forest. Just outside of Brockenhurst. I'd join the course there like a shot.

Isle of Skye, overlooking Glenbrittle beach with the Cuillin mountains behind. Heaven......wet, but heaven.
Don't forget the midgies!!!!

Love the isle of skye but the only problem is when the weather is nice in summer it's torture with all the midigies.

I'm kinda happy where i am, i can travel 30 mins in a car and be either, in a big city, at the coast or the middle of the countryside so can't really complain.

I'd just like the better, warmer weather move to me instead.
