One putt every green. Then I'd just concentrate on getting on the putting surface and not trying to land everything right next to the pin.

I put too much pressure on my approach play because of my relatively poor putting.
I managed to drop 3 putts per round last year, if I can knock a couple more off this year I'd be delighted.

Easy, just miss more greens and chip close instead :(

I know short game is king but from 120 and in, and on the green, I'm improving - not good you understand but getting better.
in contrast the long stuff is getting worse. getting it consistently off tee or fairway and to remain on fairway, that would be a beautiful thing.

Whilst my colleagues would say my short game needs a major overhaul, I would plump for driving... When it's good, it's fantastic but when it's not quite on, don't even bother turning up.

For me, long game is more important than short game....

I wish I could eliminate the complete mis-hit from nowhere, the one where you are in the middle of the fairway with a perfect lie, make what feels like a good swing and you top the ball 15 yards or hit it so fat you shift more turf than ball. To rub salt into the wound you hit the next ball perfectly.

Putting for me. Have worked very hard on it over the last Year and have gone from a regular 2 or 3 3-putts per round down to a regular 2 putter HOWEVER I still don't sink enough single putts, so find even when I'm having a v.good round I walk off with pars rather than birdies.

Current problem (apart from the snow!) is over aggression. One thing I do know, as soon as I master the art of putting, my driving or iron play will then go to pot. At the end of the day, we're all after the impossible perfect game.

At the end of the day, we're all after the impossible perfect game.

Not impossible. It can happen, when it all comes together.

It did for me once this year, and I foolishly started thinking about how embarrassed I was going to be winning the next comp so easily.

It only lasted one round

But at least I know it's in there somewhere. :)

Driving

I noticed that fewer and fewer drives find the fairways. Maybe it is because fairways become narrower as I get older
