If only they weren't called 'Rocketballz'....

no there is no real difference other than the number on the bottom, but are people testing out the demo 6 iron and buying it on the basis that it goes further than their current 6 iron really getting a good deal? i think there's an element of marketing trickery going on, and that i find a little bit cheeky... then at the ends of the range it might encourage the purchasing of more clubs than is really necessary... "i really like my new rbz irons, they go really far, but i can seem to hit the 4 iron very well.." "try the new rbz hybrids then sir... just the thing fora man like you..."

"and while you're here... do you find you're hitting the pitching wedge really nicely and there's a big gap with your old gap wedge?... well this new rbz gap wedge might be just the thing... and if that leaves your SW a bit short then how's about...."

as you say it's NOT a big change to the game.... but a nice change to TM profits and one will not be popular at home for a while...

i also join the camp that the name isn't the greatest, but i wouldn't pay any attention to that while i was taking my mates money off them week after week...

But if you don't get a decent custom fit, you don't really have much to complain about do you? TM and all the other manufacturers are trying to mak money. If you buy kit that doesn't suit you and have to buy some more, that's your fault. It's not like custom fits are difficult to come by these days.

The other point you have to bear in mind is hitting the ball further isn't the only factor to be considered. My new Titleists go the same distance as my old pings pretty much, the difference is I hit them better.

i'm in the market for a new set and cant decide on the i20 (i play ping )or the rbz both look similar in tests and revues, going to have a try with both at my pro shop and will let you know on another note has any one been to THE BELFRY to get fitted for clubs and was it what you expected, thanks.

The i20 and the RBZ irons are aimed at 2 completely different player markets
The i20 irons are Defo aimed at a better ball striker than the Chunkier RBZ irons
They DONT even Compare

So judging by this thread by the RBZ' and tell the first girl you meet that you have Rocketballz with a shaft 1/2 inch longer than most......

our driving range which is part of snainton golf store got the rdz drivers at £199 very tempted, and they will fit you up for 1 for £20 but if you buy off them they take it off the price

I think the woods are a very smart and sleek looking club, I would buy/use them no problem. But having put a few Titleist's in the bag a few months bag I think they will stay for a while.

I do wonder though why TM didnt just launch them as RBZ, RBZ sounds fine to me.

A bit like LG, the TV company stands for 'Life's Good', which is a bit lame and no-one knows them as that.

You could alway learn how to do different shots with your wedge to get different distances. (how did people manage when you only had a PW&SW)???
