Yesterday at Royal Musselburgh I played with a young lad, it was a greensome, and we played some fantastic golf. Very rarely in trouble and although we had a few bogies we made up for that with an eagle and a few birdies including two two’s. We were round in 68 less 6, net 62 par 70. I never knew the result until I drove in this evening and the lad came running over to tell me how well we done. Unfortunately we were beat on count back, but all the same, it was excellent.

Today I won the seniors 36 hole final at Winterfield golf club and although I’m really chuffed, I would swap it for the win with that young lad……Just to see his face.

Good shooting yesterday at RM. Were you out in the breezy conditions in the afternoon ? If so that's excellent scoring. It's a hard format to play well in but you two seem to have gelled very well.

Good to here about the Winterfiels win, did you drive the first ?

Well played :D

Aye Tommo you canny beat it,best part of our success this year has been seeing how much the young guns enjoy the golf and the immense pleasure I have also had with these fine young lads.Nay fear any of these youg punks!

Yes, we went off at 1.20 and it was a stiff breeze. Ah,the first a WF, what a hole and yes I just got over twice. Used my Winterfield only 13 degree nike driver, I leave out my 3 wood. A great weapon for superlong par threes of around 240 250...all depends in the wind, and it blows there for sure.

They don't fear the putting green, he was never short and often in. Still, old Tommo sank one of the two's and a monster on the last for a birdie.

Top scoring, especially in that format. Well done on another win too Harvey. I see the form's continuing. Are you the Vijay Singh of East Lothian by any chance?
