I played today and..(Rolling) -originally created by JohnnyDee

Played this afternoon and since it was just a friendly matchplay match with my mate I decided to keep trying the feeling of exiting left as it was promising on the Trackman and it worked really well. Won the match 2&1 (first win in ages against him) and I shot 73 (well best probable score as I was given a few of putts under 1 foot) so will be persisting with it over the winter.

We got round in 2:30 again to beat the sunset, next week might be a push.

Started on the back nine and was 3 over after three holes, and then 5 over after nine holes.

Bogey on one and three, so now 7 over, birdie 4 & 5 (index 2 & 3), lipped out for birdie on 6th (index 5) then birdie on the last for 4 over par

What a crazy round.

Played this morning.
It was cold out but not as cold as my putter.
Best I have played discarding the greens for a long time.
34 points and reckon I could of got the same if I had putted with a saucepan. Including a straight forward 2 foot uphill putt that left me a tricky 5 footer down the slope which ironically I missed and left myself the same straight forward 2 foot uphill putt, after I missed that I picked my ball up.

Strange round today.
10 points out, 20 points back .................. with a blob!
Shorts and polo again and it's the middle of October.
The course was rammed with societies and inter-club matches and it took 3 of us 4¼ hours, but hey ho, it was a very pleasant afternoon.

Played at Shrigley Hall today on a corporate do and won with 91 (best 2 scores) points

To be fair, I scored really well and safe to say I am really pleased with my new iron set.

Our Monthly Stroke round, started on the 10th hole, turned 4 over par, hitting it well but missed to many putts.

!st hole made a birdie, then 3 putted the 4th from 5 feet.....lipped out for birdie the next hole (index 2) but birdie on the next (index 3),
my last hole I lipped out for birdie.....too shoot level par for the nine, gross 76, nett 72.

I played today and it quickly was obvious that it was going to be a long round. Strong winds with leaves blowing around all the time.

There were so many leaves on the ground along with other debris that with in our group and other groups (which could be seen) there was an awful lot of ball hunting going on. On one hole it took me several minutes to remove all the acorns on the green that were on my putting line.

I lost one shot due to leaves flying around all over the place, twice one nestled against my club whilst preparing for the shot and finally a third just as I started my back swing but I was unable to stop.

13 players in our group and the best score was 33 points, I came in with 30.

4BBB winter league and we went off like a train with 7 consecutive 3 pointers ,then hit a wall of 2 pointers until the 14th which I birdied with a shot and dropped on the 15th ,the last hole.
38 and 10th

First day of a trip to Dundonald. Very impressive set up, lovely course in very good condition. Greens were clearly tined a couple of weeks ago but it didn't cause too much trouble.

Good off the tee, second shots not great. Chipping was poor, as was my putting. It was bloomin cold, bitter wind, which didn't help but I'm hoping to play better tomorrow. I'll need to, you can't have an off day here

Approach, chipping and putting off - that's a lot to get right for tomorrow - but hope you do!

Tell me about it 🤦. I think the cold definitely affected me. It wasn't due to be bitter, I wasn't geared up for it. Tomorrow is due to be wet, very, and breezy. I've got multiple layers lined up, I'm fully prepared for it

First round of the Winter Foursomes yesterday. Myself 10, Partner 7 playing two 10 handicap players and giving two shots. My partner has a calf tear and hasn't played much golf recently and somehow we managed to win 2 up after 18. I holed a 13ft par putt to claim the match and not rely on them missing their par putt.

Loved playing Winter foursomes when I lived there, it was the only way to play Dec-Feb and get around the course quickly and then back in the bar beside the fire with a pint.

Played today in five layers - 8*, windy, and raining. We all went to the clubhouse and had a cold beer (which tasted warm).
I live in South Somerset forecast was for 16 deg and dry

Yesterday I started off with 3 layers. Luckily had my waterproof jacket in the bag to go to 4 layers, the wind chill factor had not been noted by anybody and all were complaining about the cold.

30 miles south of you and most of us were in T-shirts. It’s grim up north 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

played 9 yesterday, with @Imurg (still hopping on one heel) and one of the greenkeepers, off at first light
Will be my last round for a few weeks as I have a cartilage op tomorrow.

Played quite steadily, we werent keeping cards, but I made it 20 points for me and it is possible that "hoppy" just got into double figures
I shall take over the "hoppy" mantel tomorrow,
