I bought today.....

Picked up a Garmin s42 basically new off eBay last night

Time to replace my s60, nothing wrong with it just fancy a change

All that said, I’m still resisting.
All sorts of things could happen tomorrow, next week, next month, next year. Stop resisting, buy it 😄. They look slick 👍

(Ignore the above if you are on the edge financially, have family responsibilities etc and spending cash would be questionable 😉 - good enough get out?)

They are good, mine has been on my wrist every where 🤭 .. when it connects to your phone it can fizz the battery but I don’t have all my messages on..

No putter but finally bit the bullet and replaced my 24 year old mixer.
Behringer Pro 900. Looks the part. Only down side is I will need to make a new top for my deck stand as the cut out currently fits the old mixer which is deeper but not as wide or tall.
Oooh, didn't realise you mixed. What's your genre?

Went to try some 5W’s at the local Mizuno Performance Centre and ordered a ST-max 5W and 4hybrid (didn’t particularly get on with the Qi10 and didn’t like the Ping versions either). I’ve been struggling with my 5 & 6 irons lately and these seem so much easier to get the ball airborne with distance and a fairly tight dispersion. Hopefully it all translates out onto the course.

A second hand ping g425 driver with a stiff shaft. Part of my regular tinkering, buying and selling, however, I may well end up keeping it. I’ve wanted to try out a stiff shaft in my g410, didn’t really want to spend £50-60 on a shaft and not get much back for it if it didn’t work out. Plan is to try the shaft in both drivers, compare the results and decide after that.

After I've realised my X Hot irons 4-PS I've been playing with (gifted by the person who introduced me to golf) were all D9 swing weight balanced, I've traded them in and got Big Bertha 2023 Irons 6-PA and a Jaws Raw Full Toe Chrome 56 degree Wedge with 10 bounce & JG grind to replace my traded in sand wedge. Callaway pre-owned has gem finds sometimes.

I can't work out if you're talking about cement or cocktails

Not golf related but I sold all the stuff that was laying in my Steam inventory, got £360 for it after the Valve sales tax so stuck £120 to it and bought the Steam Deck OLED.

This might give me the encouragement to work my way through my 100 game backlog. If not, I'll sell it and buy a new driver.

Question re rust on wedges (when not designed): I've purchased a Jaws Raw Full Toe Chrome 56 Wedge from Callaway pre-owned in "average" condition. There was some coating that was gone from the middle and present on the outside - I thought it's remains from a sticker or lacquer and wanted to wash it off. After soaking in warm water for 5 mins - it became obvious the middle of the face was rusting (water was slightly tainted, as from tea). Would you be concerned about such a wedge longterm? I've hit it really well at the range the previous evening, but I wonder how rust might impact spin or the longevity of the club.

In comparison the "average" Big Berthas looked like this (perhaps I got lucky with them)

Raw wedges are designed, in a way, to rust.
Raw means there is no finish to them...chrome or nickel plate etc etc
This means more spin as any coating, albeit minutely, fills in the grooves making them more effective for longer
Contrary to popular belief rust on wedges does not increase spin, if anything it will decrease as you're filling the grooves with rust.
Some like the rusty look as it reduces glare on a sunny day...shouldn't be a problem in England...but when the face is rusty you lose spin.
I have a couple of these wedges and, every few weeks, I give them a soak in the cheapest cola I can find in the shops and then scour them with a nonstick scouring pad.
They come up spotless.
No long term effects...
