Spent the morning at the L.A.B fitting centre at Scottsdale and probably the most thorugh experience I've ever had.

Went in for the Mezz1 and came out with the DF3.

Odd lie angle, but it works at 66 degrees, heavy weights, 34", upgraded white shaft, with some personalisation thrown in.

I may look a pleb when using it, but very happy.

I went straight to GCFC and flogged the other putters. My changes this year have cost me very little.

Yes, I've upgraded, so already had everything. Having a decent set to start with helps and then just haggle hard and don't hoard old stuff.

My only luxury is the Vessel bag, but had three others, so I get to swap at zero cost and save space!

EBay purchase of an Axis 1 putter, was okay price and I like milled face putters. So I popped in a bid, thinking it’s worth having a try.

Preparing for cold, wet weekends for a few months...
UA Infrared Cold Gear golf gloves
30,000ft softshell waterproof fleece lined trousers - intended for skiing but plenty of reviews from UK residents wearing them for various outdoorsy pursuits and overtrousers do my head in.

Obviously I can't vouch for them yet, but these are what I've bought...

Edit: ordered them yesterday and they've arrived today. Perfect fit and very comfortable. If they are actually waterproof then that's pretty good value for £40.

Mizuno JPX 923 Hot Metal Pro, 6 -PW, along with a JPX GW and two T24 wedges, 52* & 56*. All with TTDG 105 Reg, all 2* up 0.5" long. All brand new.

I always said that if I gave up blades it wouldn't be an incremental change, it would be full blow and extreme. Well, here we go, let's see if these shovels are game changers.

N.B. The 6 iron in the HMP has 25* of loft, so it is 2 degrees stronger than my 5i in the 221's which is 27. It is in fact a five and a half iron in comparison :D

Bought a Cleveland Smart Sole sand wedge (58 degree) - barely used, second hand. Really happy. That's my bag refit done for the off season. Looking forward to spring and some winter golf thrown in. I also sold quite a lot of gear so it comes out at net zero cost, and the shed is a lot emptier!

The ones I have have magnets to clip them together if you want in just one hand but also are thin enough so I can hold between the trolly handle and my hand
