What if you 'try' them and don't like them? You are stuck with 48 golf balls. I think we have a different definition of 'try out' 😄

Yeah, once the pro had a shelf full of volvic balls. I said to give me one and I'd try it out in my round and if still had it after 18 I'd buy a dozen... lost it off the first tee 🤪

lol we do indeed, my pro has been recommending them for a while to me, low spin and low launch are what we are working towards. I like a bargain aswell. im sure ill like them. I used to hit whatever ball before i switched to ad333 a few years back but I could do with less height

edit, also if i dont like them with the price ive paid I can always get back some of the price on ebay if I sell a box unused, prob break even

I have the top level Golf Plan policy, which covers £10k, with various max limits per club, rangefinder, trolly etc, but our club insist on insurance against property/people damage, so went for the best cover as there was a cost to bear in any case. I think it's about sixty quid per year.
If your club is affiliated to EG you get up to £10 Million personal liability and damage to third party insurance

It was them told me to get insurance in the first place - will pull someone over that, as annual premuim now paid in full.

That said, the theft cover alone is probably worth it, plus all the other bits and bobs.

There is a hefty excess with the EG insurance - £500 iirc - so it's not necessarily a bad idea to take out your own cover if you want total peace of mind.

Bored, so bought a set of Caley 01 iron heads. I have a set of PX IO shafts sitting in the workshop so I thought why not, can mess about with them over the winter and punt them if they're not great.
Caley heads arrived. Got to say, on first impressions alone they really do look and feel the part. Bit chunkier than I am used to and probably should have gone 01T but as a winter mess about they aren't a hundred miles off the i525s.

Hosel bore is odd though. I haven't measured with the calipers yet but definitely a parallel bore, odd part is that the .355 (.370 collared) ferrules don't fit. I do have some non-collared ferrules somewhere in the workshop but will be later before I can get the 7 iron (you're allowed to test the 7) shafted up and see what's what. I think these might be gifted to my mate's brother in the end but I'll have a play with them.

Just bought three boxes of Vice Pro Air in their Black Friday deal, thanks to the flipping Vice balls thread. They will go into the drawer until next spring.

Are these heads .370 parallel..?
I realise other shafts can be shimmed to fit, but just curious, if the same as Takomo tip size
So here'e the odd bit. Got these today. 0.355 shafts have a bit of slop as you'd expect but neither 0.370 shims or collared ferrules are fitting either. Shaft with shim just will not fit at all.

These are proving to be a very odd bore size. Need to find my calipers to check.

Spent the morning at the L.A.B fitting centre at Scottsdale and probably the most thorugh experience I've ever had.

Went in for the Mezz1 and came out with the DF3.

Odd lie angle, but it works at 66 degrees, heavy weights, 34", upgraded white shaft, with some personalisation thrown in.

I may look a pleb when using it, but very happy.

I booked a LAB putter fitting on the back of a half price fitting fee offer, as the biggest LAB set up outside of the US (Scottsdale) ....
Obviously, as ever, fitting fee is haggled off the price of new gear, but can't actually see me ending up with one.

But with me, who knows
We all knew what was gonna happen! 😆🤣

Ping G400 irons 5-PW with stiff flex Ping Alta graphite shafts and fresh black/white MCC GP grips. .75inch longer which is my recommended length on fittings. Been needing to admit defeat with my current irons and game something more forgiving. They are in excellent condition aswell. £296 after a 15% discount on Golfclubs4cash.
