How much did the experiment cost in end

Is there any club work you can't DIY?
£300 for the heads. Shafts came in an old set and have been sitting about for months.

My mate has the 01T and they look decent. The 01 are a little chunkier so I might struggle. But if they're not suitable as above, I can punt them or give them to my mate's brother that's just taken up the game this year and is using a set of 2013 Callaways.

Was looking at them today as my colleague just took the game up again after about 5 year break. His clubs he wants upgraded but the price point puts him off however these value irons look really nice aswell and being a good price

I'll let you know what they are like in 3-5 working days.

The 01Ts are very, very similar to my i525s and my mate really likes them having gone to them from a very aged set of Cleveland CG7s.

He has the KBS shaft in his which I find a bit heavy and boardy but he seems to be doing ok with them. Faces look odd though as there are far fewer grooves spaces further apart than I'm used to seeing.

Do you have a loft and lie machine aswell to adjust?

Wasn't today was Thursday, I purchased 2 new hybrids (mizuno jpx 925 fli hi 19 and 22 degree) arrived yesterday

Had a lesson today and at the end I got my pro to let me hit the hybrids on the SIM

Both very nice and straight flight , felt more powerful than my old one lengths

Looking forward to getting out on the course with them

Taken a leaf out of @Burnsey book. 2 fly hi mizuno jpx 925 hybrids to blend with My irons

£252 for the pair which was good value

Unfortunately means bar the 60 degree all my clubs have been upgraded this year

Hope they work well for you (y)

I've had my 923's for just over a year now (4-pw) and have thoroughly enjoyed learning to hit the 19° 4-iron. I actually got rid of my pair of fli-hi hybrids I already had before I bought the irons, they just never got into the bag again

I do now lack a longer club for when the 1st/2nd cut is really lush but it forces me to just be more realistic with club choice and get it back in play without a hero attempt

When I got fit between me and my fitter we just fit me for 6-gw in the 925 Hmp

Really liking them so far. However the 6 iron was going as far as my current 5 hybrid so decided to replace all 3 for fli his as they seem a really good blend

If I can get a few more yards out of them with them being longer length than my old one lengths I'll really benefit on the course aswell

I was only fitted down to 6 iron too, then 5 hybrid, but I play hit and miss with a hybrid, so ordered the 5 iron in my spec as a bit of a gamble.

Isn't here yet, but felt it worth a try now I've got used to my new irons and playing the 6 iron really well.

We shall see...

I've always played irons ok, my mate keeps trying to get me to hit irons but because I'm so far out I was always using my hybrids

Now I'm comfortable and confident with the new 6 iron and it being slightly stronger it brings it in as an option from the second shot, it's 25 degree with the new hybrid being 22 degree does make it really good gapping

I have the gapping too, just inconsistent strikes with the hybrid - need to practice, but fancy trying the 5 iron.

My 6 iron is 29, 5 hybrid set to 25 - the 5 iron will be 26, so hoping like for like in terms of gapping, just more consistency.

It's all about trying things out for me - I'll be using a 2 iron before you know it
