how would you feel being drawn against a 10 year old in a comp like this?

my club have just retained the Moray and Nairn Scratch league at Forres GC.

we have a fair few + handicap players, but with a few injuries and a drop out just before the 2nd match one of our players had to draft in his 10 year old son to play.


he is off 4 at the moment, but as its scratch no shots.




personally i'd be terrified

He ain't all that. I play off 8 and my brother is off 18 and my dad was a 100 shooter. boom. :rofl:

We have a young lad who is a similar age ( but 'only' off 9 ) who plays in all the medals. He's a delight to play with and is clearly just buzzing having fun. I'm always happy to get drawn with him.

Don't know, I got Justin Rose's autograph on a programme at Castle Stewart Scottish Open a few years ago and later auctioned it on ebay where it only made about £2.50, was before his US open win but worthless really!

Surely the pressure is on the opponent (adult) who would be expected (hoping) to win. The youngster can go out and swing and play with freedom and maybe pull off a famous win
