Bob what is your towel drill all about where you aim progressively more left each time? are you cutting it more each time?

If you mean the towel rolled up on the ground, the idea is to gradually aim further and further left but to feel the club still swinging towards the target.
It's supposed to help people who slice, feel the difference when the club doesn't cut across the body to the left.

I can, i just cant seen to do it from distance , i kinda quit on the bigger club , if that makes sense at all ?

Right, next time you have an 8 iron shot, select a 6 and, with a half swing, kind of punch it in. If you only swing half way back, you wont feel you've got too much club and you wont quit on it.

Feet and hips left but shoulders straight?

Not really, no. Everything aiming left. That way, the slicer will feel his/her shoulders tilting more rather than spinning out.
Disclaimer.
Of course I wouldn't advocate trying to use that extreme left aim as your normal swing.
It's more of a 'feel' drill.

Oki doke, I won't bother with it as its been a few years since I was a chronic slicer. Thought it looked quite interesting.

Make some new videos.

When I said there's no need to tee it up lower, I was referring to the person who tees it up a normal height.
If you normally use a 3 1/2in tee, then of course you will have to tee it up lower to hit it low.

Is this how it's going to be from now on? I try and help people and you just look for ways to criticise my posts. What next, are you going to give my posts marks out of 10?

Nope! I just want to see everything covered - as per my (what I thought was a positive) comment. Golf seems to provide an enormous number of examples where advice that was appropriate to the particular player/circumstances then gets corrupted to inappropriate ones! By stating the problem, cause, solution and ,method (completely), there is vastly less chance of that sort of corruption! And given that it's being done on the internet, without visual triggers, means it's even more important to 'cover all bases'!

Btw. Don't take it as (negative) criticism, as it's not meant that way. Consider it me trying to help you help others - something you are far more qualified to do than I am! That shouldn't be something to make you lose your patience over!

The half swing 'punch'-ish shot with 2 clubs higher certainly works well into the wind. Unfortunately, I got to use it so often that it has become pretty much my normal swing! My ('Sticks' Rule) Hockey background hasn't helped!

I tell you what, if I need help passing on tips, I'll give you a shout.

No need - as long as you commit to covering 'everything that's likely to be important'! There's nothing wrong with the tips, generally. It's just their completeness/explanation that's likely to be lacking at times - like that one (which was, as I stated, close to perfect).

If it helps, perhaps consider 'Could (insert expletive if desired) Foxholer ask for any more details?' or similar when you do!

So after spending 3 years and £5000 getting my degree, I should give away all my secrets free of charge to people who often cant even be bothered to say please and thank you?

If I miss out some things, there's normally a reason for it.

Silly now!

Are you saying you deliberately hold things back when giving advice on here? Is there a PGA branch of the Masonic Lodge?

Plenty of us spent considerably more than that to earn the qualifications in order to earn sufficient to learn and play this game, amongst other goals!

I read somewhere, but can't remember where, that they are making great advances in the treatment of Alzheimers.
