how to cure an aching elbow and left arm

Sounds like you may have a spot of tennis elbow AND golfers elbow in the same arm. The elbow tendons tend to get inflamed slightly due to overuse, which may be due to playing golf with your non-dominant side. I wouldn't go radically changing anything though! These conditions tend to be self-limiting, so they get better by themselves, but you can do things to help in the meantime.

Taking basic painkillers (paracetamol, ibuprofen), good warm-up and cool-down, rest it when you can, perhaps take it easy for a couple of weeks. Physiotherapy to strengthen the surrounding muscles and tendons can also help. Ice after playing/training should also help.

Have a look here for some more info in a pretty easily digestible format - http://www.patient.co.uk/health/tennis-elbow-leaflet

I suffer from tennis elbow in my right elbow from time to time which gives me aching in my forearm. I went to the physio about it and he told me it's easy to cure with hot and cold treatment with massage afterwards.
Works a treat and symptoms go away within a few days.

Rest it. In the mean time, it's worth checking the thickness of your grips. Too thick or too thin can cause tension in the forearms and elbow.

Sounds like fatigue to me, what clubs are you using, I had the same issue with a set of "Wilson Fatshafts" after about 8-9 holes my arm was knackered and would ache for days after, since I changed to my "XCG3's" nothin, not a twinge !...

I know it's an expensive cure but sometimes as we age and parts of our body change/wear out "joints, etc" our clubs can become unsuited to our requirements !...
