Played today for the 5th day in a row.

The most number of days I've played in a row previously is 3, and that was on a golfing holiday. However a combination of the great weather Monday to Wednesday, and the fact I was playing well led to me agreeing to play every day this week.

Today was definitely a game too far. Woke up feeling stiff and sore in the neck and shoulders. Played poorly from the start, duffing shots I've been hitting great all week. Halfway round I felt absolutely dog tired, both physically and mentally. Hacked my way round for a fairly miserable 30 points. Couldn't wait to get home and sink in a bath with a cold beer.

Am looking forward to a weekend with no golf, and hopefully the batteries recharged for Monday's game. Going to try to stick to my normal routine of 3 games a week from now on.

Interested to hear what other folks' limit is.

Have done 5 in a row, but can’t think of where I have done 6.

Did 72 holes in 2 days in september and regretted it massively!

11 rounds in 6 days is my longest stretch - on our annual trip - and thats getting a bit tiring now.
But currently doing about 4 rounds a week without issue - could probably do once per day. Only health risk is what Mrs B would do to me if I contemplated it.

I used to get a lot of time off work in a previous job. A week off every three weeks.
I’d play everyday and I’d pray for rain so I didn’t feel I had to go.
Too much I feel is when you go, but don’t want to!

I play 4-5 days a week in season though. Friday Saturday Sunday Wednesday and the off Thursday. Don’t play in winter. Once a month.

When I was made redundant about 12 years ago I was up the club every day. I usually played but sometimes would just do nine and then practice. To be honest I was like a pig in muck and had the money not started to run out I'd have carried on. I have no idea how many consecutive days it was (a lot) and I never got bored of it

Similar ...
Back in '97 I was out of work for 6 weeks. Played in the morning, job hunting in the afternoon.
Probably played 35 consecutive days...but I was a lot younger and fitter than I am now so 3 days on the bounce is enough.

This would be me in theory, like the idea of 9. Playing on holiday in Florida where in the summer a cart is essential I could do every day I reckon. It’s the walking with dodgy feet, knees etc that limits things.

Once played every hole at Wentworth on the same day - carrying!
63 holes ...

Now, 2 days in a row of 18 holes with an electric trolley is the absolute max, and I try and avoid consecutive days 😢

One of my tours round Scotland was two-a-day for five days with driving between courses in between. Loved it. Couldn't walk when I tried to get out of the car when I got back to Surrey but hey ho.

August 2015 I played 30 consecutive days and many of those days had 36holes in as well.

I was a 14 year old kid, my dad dropped me off on his way to work at 8am then picked me up on his way home at 6pm. Spent all day playing and practising. By the end of that month I'd hit a 4.5 handicap and reckon I could have got to playing handicap of 4 if I'd played in comp on August 31st but it was my mums birthday and she made plans for us, I was gutted 😂

6 rounds in 4 days is the most intensive for me. But it was at Nairn, Brora and Golspie so not exactly a hardship !

Edit: just seen the post above and am reminded that as a kid we played all day every day all summer - but the body was a bit more resilient in those halcyon days

Despite being able to play virtually whenever I like for the past 30+ years I never play 2 days in a row except in very rare circumstances.

I also have not played more than about 24 holes on the same day in the same period of time.

Played five in a row last year on the forum trip to Turnberry. West Lancs, Silloth, Turnberry X 2 and Formby. Difficult to turn down any of the courses, and the great company. Add in the driving between courses, and battling the beast from the east, and it was a tad tiring.
