How much distance do you lose with age?

I hit the same now as ever. That's nearly 20 years older. I think the ball and clubs have something to do with it.

A month ago, I managed to find a solid 10-15% on top of my normal distance, it was great, but I've lost it somehow.

I can't see myself losing much over the next 20.

The 300+ yards guys will almost certainly suffer the worst....

It's relative distance I have lost. I'm 50 but thanks to the huge improvements in technology over the last 20 years I drive the ball further than I did when I was 30. The thing is all the 18-30 year olds are at least 30 yards past me!

I doubt however that there will be the same degree of improvement in gear (from tiny wooden to huge titanium heads, hi-tech graphite shafts, longer balls, etc) so I'm resigned to loosing a few yards a year from now on. Most of the over 60's I play with (mostly mid handicappers) are 10-15 yards behind me off the tee and that's where I reckon I'm heading. The older single figure guys at our place can still knock it well past me though.
