Do you know how far you carry each club ?

This is truly a great willy waving thread 
Is it? Are the big hitters expected to lie and play down their distances to make everyone happier about themselves. I have often found the shorter hitters are the ones obsessing over yardages and the longer players are not all that fussed.

In heavy but dead calm conditions I yesterday hit my best strike 6i to a par 3 that ended about 10yds short of the hole having stopped dead - so according to my mates distance gizmo I can carry my 6i about 155yds.

Have been on flightscope and they were all more or less those numbers. Some slightly more.

These look the same as me across the board

Was waiting for people to spread the standard forum negativity. People hit it further than other people. People hit it shorter than other people. The thread question is do you know how far you carry each club, sorry if your drive or 4 iron doesn't go as far as someone else's. OP is proud of his son, so put his figures up.

Yup. Doesn't matter how far you hit it, as long as you know how far you hit it.

Personally I couldn't give a rats arse how far I hit it, for me hitting the bloody thing straight would be a major achievement in itself... 😂

Mines are fairly rough in comparison with figures from a trackman, but I have all my carry distances marked down on a card that I carry round with me, there's nothing illegal about taping them to the club shaft ok don't think. Mines were all done outdoor around April time on the grass practice area, I took the average from 30 decent strikes and removed the outliers. Then walked to the middle of the cluster of balls and lasered back to where I hit them from. Might try the trackman before the season starts. A forum night out at the golf range, haha.
Figures are nowhere near the OP lad though, fair old smack he's giving it.

Wouldn't that give total distance and not carry distance when you laser back?

Practice area at my golf club is dire, hitting into a really steep hill, usually with some kind of strong wind.

I have done my distances on GC2, but on course I usually hit several % less than my results. IE my PW goes 120 carry on GC2, on course it is usually 110 max.

Not really as the practice area is very soft after winter so the balls don't roll out much
