How many plus golfers at your club?

There is something a little off about this. a different class of bandit.

Not really.

Most + HC will play in many scratch comps with pretty good fields and on the top courses around the country. Many of these comps will be 36 hole or more comps and many as already stated become RO due to the depth of field and the effect on CSS so it can benefit them. Most will play more than many club golfers therefore could never be accused of being bandits.

We have 5, we did have 9 up till recently, 2 turned pro 1 quit golf and the other got 0.1 back last weekend so he is just a rubbish scratch golfer now :o

I don't doubt it big man, what is the average CSS at Nairn in comparison to SSS

About the same, SSS is 73, most of the time the CSS will be the same with the odd CSS 74.

RD, I'm told is more often than not RO due to the toughness of the course

Why would you do this- crazy!!!! I get fed up a lot but it pulls me back in pretty quickly (within hours i'm on here lol)

One can dream of ever being a + golfer

We have two and another one who is off +0.5 and jumps up and down around there. Our lowest player is a lady and the reigning Scottish Amateur Champ, currently on a golf scholarship in the US.

Fair impressed with Nairn's strength in depth !

He quit because he is chaotic and his lifestyle means that golf is way down the list, such a shame as well as he is a cracking lad and hits the ball like a dream.

Two, one is only a kid, he's already a ninja, I don't want to imagine what he'll be like when he grows up.

Had another but he turned pro, wins a bit of cash but it's not an easy life by any means. I'm very content in having it as a hobby rather than livelihood!

None is the quick answer

Couple I know have been there before they got old etc. There are a handful on the island I believe and I hadn't thought about it but Mendies post tells us why we don't see them at weekends

Tash, I tried to buy an oompa loompa once (gotta watch that spelling they get tetchy about it) but apparently they only come in pairs (something about not being able to do that stupid song & dance if they're on their own) Anyway couldn't afford two so I need to do without

Slab you should of got them, I would of gone halfers with you 😁

Several over the years, have one young friend who was +3 again had a go at turning Pro but that did not last long. There are so many very good young golfers out there very hard to make it.

We have 10 with +1 or better, the best being +3 and we have 4 at scratch and 35 Cat1's

The best course in the area attracts the best golfers
