How many Greens in Regulation do you EXPECT to hit?

Ii play off 15 and if i hit 4 greens in reg per round im doing well, i miss regularly and will be normally 5 to 7 yards out and can be long, short or left and right.
this is the worst part of my game the approaches to greens, my scrambling and putting gets me out of a lot of trouble usually.
My stats v average are
Fairways Hit - 38% - HC Ave - 41%
GIR - 17% - HC Ave 35%
Short Game - 18% - HC Ave 11%
Bunkers - 38% - HC ave 15%
Putting - 1.80 Putts per hole - HC Ave 1.95

Lots of room for improvement

Playing off 6, current average is 7. Maybe one or two more if you count the fringe as a hit. TBH I was guessing at 8.

8 or 9 on a good day - 3 within 8 feet also. Hopefully another 4 fringe or at least close and rest lucky dips. Play off 4.

I play off 11 and Golfplan tells me I should be hitting 32% of all fairways, I've actually hit an average of 38% since August last year.

Depends on the type of course I suppose and how well you are playing on the day. At the Twenty Ten course in Feb I hit 22%. On my own course which is quite easy and obviously I am familiar with I hit 46% on average, I have been as high 89% but also as low as 11%!!!

Play off 7, expect to hit 8 or 9, good scoring days usually come from hitting more as my short game isnt so hot, have hit as many as 15 in a round earlier in the year

off 19 - in net reg i'd expect about 75% of them for a happy round

in real regulation? defo 2 of 4 of the par 3's, 1 of 3 of the par 5s, and possibly 2 or 3 of the shorter par 4s. so that makes 5 or 6 in a good round. in a bad round it will be none of them

At Camberley over 27 holes i managed 12 or 13, and scored 17/31. WHile we had white markers we were off the Yellow posts.

At my (short) home course, i will tend to make circa 12 or 13 GIR, however off yellow our SSS is 5 under par ! (off whites it is 3 under)

Currently don't have an official handicap (would expect something in the 8-12 region). At my home course I would expect to hit around 8-10 most rounds, it is however a very short course with 2 or 3 driveable par 4's

H/cap 7.6 I expect to hit at least half of the greens in reg. I have such a great scramble game, I dont need to worry about them

6/9 tonight in 9 home comp. Couldn't putt for toffee though.

No handicap but would be around 24. At my regular course I'd expect to hit 2 or 3 of the par 3's, 3 or 4 par 4's and maybe the par 5. I never actually hit all of these (4 today with 4 just off the green) but that's what I'd expect/hope to hit.

I think it shows how important the short game is if some of the single figure guys are giving similar figures, I guess it's the importance of getting up and down when they are missed.

That would be hard, as I don't expect to hit any. My iron play is shocking, as is my driving.

I play off 6 and expect to hit them all. However reality is over 50 odd rounds this year I have hit 50 odd percent in reg.

Think that is pretty fair. Off my handicap and excluding some of the par 3's which I play badly anyway then I'd say 6 would be about right for me

I would expect to hit as many as I can, but if I have to lay up for a better chance of par then I have nothing against not getting a GIR. Its not a sign of weakness, its just a statistical measure. My game plan is more important.

Playing off 4 at the moment and we only play off Whites in NZ and would expect to hit all of them but the reality is 36.2 % but my scrambling is 40.9%
