My whole 4 ball had a case of this on Saturday. It's not the norm I must add and we are normally very curtious but some reason we all did it at least once very strange.

The problem I have with it, is that it's a noise that shouldn't be there. If you're thinking to yourself "they're still talking" even if you don't mind, it's x% of your brain that isn't concentrating on the shot.
We have a train line running alongside our course and they don't bother me. We are on the flight path for aeroplanes landing at East Midlands about 20 miles away but they don't bother me. If I can hear someone talking behind me I start thinking about it. It's just rude.

Really doesn't bother me, although I will use it as an excuse if I fluff the shot, obviously.

I know it's rude so I do try and make sure I don't do anything to upset my playing partners. Personally though someone talking in the background doesn't really bother me. I have too many other things that I tend to worry about. It would be more off putting if there was a sudden loud noise in the down swing.
