How do you warm up before a round?

When i get to my club, i usually arrive about 30 mins early. Firstly, i stand outside doing a few stretches and a quick drink (usually lucozade to keep me awake :D). I then head off to the net just to hit a few and get they key muscles warm and ready to go. I only hit a 7 iron in the net because I hit it best and it promotes confidence without any swing thoughts. About 5 mins before i tee off, i have a few short putts, making most of them to give confidence, but mainly to try and judge the speed of the greens. I then head off to the tee, and think of the good practice/warm-up. Hope this helps :D

Ironically I usually roll up 5 mins before my tee time, grab my clubs, a practise swish then offski.

Yesterday I was early, a chat at the clubhouse, a bit of putting and chipping practise then went to the 1st tee relaxed.

Best comp score to date. I am going to be more organised from now on :D

I hate playing without getting there early,it really puts the pressure on you!

The last time I went in the practice net I got the shanks, then I spent 20 mins in there thrashing about trying to get rid of them.
The routine now is 5 mins putting, a couple of hob nobs and a banana.

I also never play the day before a comp, the swing just feels that bit fresher.

I ask all the folk that spend an hour or so beforehand warming up, how do you feel when you knob one off the first tee? Was it worth it?

For me the warm up is to stop any muscle damage as opposed to making sure I hit the first shot sweet,no amount of warm up can do such a feat!

Always. My top is much looser for warming up. Actually I did just that a few weeks back but didn't panic as I knew I was hitting it well in the warm up. Made my net par and then played well enough to lose the medal on countback

Well you know, some of us need to work harder at this game to give us the best chance, we arent all naturally gifted.

As I have 3 duff disc's in my neck, plus a duff shoulder. I will do some stretching but only lightly. then swing a few clubs again only gently. Work up to a smooth threequarter swing. A few short puts close enough so I don't miss any. (positive thoughts and all that). Then a few long lag puts for feel. This sounds alot when I write it. But it is only 10/15 Min's.
