Unless it's bored straight thru then it's a specialist job

Changing a shaft is pretty easy if you have any sort of DIY skill I think.

That rules me out then

:D you can't be that bad!

GCSE Craft, Design & Technology. I got an A for design and an E for craft bringing me down to a C. It was 15 years ago but I still haven't got any better

Hold the glued area over a boiling kettle and the steam will melt the glue. Easy enough.

Disclaimer.
The steam may become hot so protective gloves are advised.

lets just hope the HSE doesnt visit Bobs workshop (aka kitchen apparently)

Glue in the toaster, shafting lube in the kettle, ferrules in the fridge... the list goes on

1. Heat the hosel area with a blow torch until epoxy glue melts.

2. Place in head extractor and wind ratchet to remove head.

3. Ream out the hosel on the clubhead with a rotating tool (dremel etc) to clean out.

4. Place ferrule on new shaft, put clubhead on loosely, measure and cut shaft to length.

5. Mix new epoxy and glue shaft into head, wipe away overspill asap before it sets, you will NOT get it off when it has.

6. Allow to set overnight.

7. Put grip on, allow to dry for half an hour and away you go to the 1st.

If you are changing shaft flex and / or length you may also need to re swing weight the club as this will be affected.
