Home Track Blues

If it takes 20 goes to beat your handicap then so be it.

Your handicap was too low anyway.

If you can, play the comp and enjoy the game.

Knowing your course well I'd say your rise has been bad course management over any think else. You need to know safe misses off the tee, safe misses on approach shots, greens like the 12th you need to know where not to hit on the green.

I've watched great ball strikers score terrible, and hackers shoot great scores over the years of caddying there as a nipper.

Holes like 8, 12 & 16 can be card wreckers, Learn to play the course, not to hit the ball.

This with knobs on!!! Have a real think why you're not scoring well.....stop doing it. Figuring out how to play your course will see results. Actually doing it is another matter.

I find a traffic light system on a yardage book is awesome!

Red pen - card wrecking areas AVOID at all costs
Yellow pen - safe miss areas
Green pen - preferred par/birdie areas

Play it in to your pre shot routine every round
