holes that are easier off the back tee

Our course is like this, much more scoreable off the blocks because of changes in par on 2 holes. The 9th is a 190 yard par 3 off the yellows that plays into the breeze normally from the yellows with a green that is about 8 yards wide in the front and slopey as. From the whites that becomes a 240 yd par 4. The 5th goes from a 390 yard par 4 with a really tight landing area from 200 on again with a narrow green (probably 10 yards at the entrance) to 480 par 5 with a much more forgiving tee shot.

SSS is 2 under the par from both sets

Our 5th is a 90 degree dogleg to the left. Off of the yellows it is not possible to cut the corner due to being blocked off by trees off of the tee. The white tee is 20 yards further back, but gives the brave a chance to considerably shorten the hole with a good drive as there is a large gap between the trees.

18th at Little Hay yesterday...
Off the yellows it's a par 4, off the whites it's a par 5

There were 7 yards between the markers.....😕

17 @ Ganton is a long par 3 of the yellows but a very short par 4 off the backs.

Personally i would swap them and have the yellow tees behind the whites/blacks.

Probably the worst hole on the course anyway

The 4th at my place is better for me off the whites. Can play more of a full club in, instead of deciding between a hard 8 or a soft 7, I can go with a full 6 or a full 7 if the wind is behind. It is also a bit further left bringing the bunker right in front of the green so it is easier on the eye to decide where to play to.

Most say our 6th is easier off the whites. It's a dog leg left with the yellow tee alongside the trees that line the left of the hole. The comp tee is only about 15 yards further back but about 20 yards away from the trees (the other side of the path which goes between the two teeing areas). Much better angle and for those with a bit of a slice they can aim much further left.
