18 so far in 2010, ( 13 medal & 5 stableford).

WOW! that's incredible. I've been wondering if I might make it to double figures this year after really wanting to get as many cards in as possible

4 things help....

1. There are 7 qualifiers a month at our club, (not including major competitions, so more in the Spring/Summer/Autumn).

2. They have spent a lot improving the drainage and the course drains really well. It is hardly ever shut. Despite this, it recovers really quickly and is already in very good condition.

3. Except for the majors, all other qualifiers are turn up, enter and play any time of the day which encourages ad hoc entry especially after work.

4. I play in all conditions, Rain, snow, frost, etc....never walked off a course in my life except due to lightning.

Oh, of course! That's when the committee actually take note of what you've scored.

That'll be a no then.

HOWEVER, I don't think I'll avoid it this weekend as both Sat and Sun are qualifying.

Can I book my 0.1 now, or do I need to pretend I can actually play the course when they deliberately tuck the tees back left so only the draw players stand a chance?

They are bitter....and even today's "experiment" with a draw bias driver aint going to make the experience more sweet come the weekend.

Still, it's under control to a certain degree. On 6 and 16, I hook a 4 iron off the tee then proceed with the biggest lump of metal I can get behind the ball.

On Monday I forgot to take the 4 iron with me and hit 5 irons off both tees...

I used the "mark ball" function on skycaddie to see how far they went. They don't half cover some distance with a hefty draw!!!

Iv only put two in since getting my handicap in may of last year....I was cut from 21-19 but then had a bad injury to my leg which wasnt right until nearly november of last year....Add to that the bad weather and it brings me up to this month.....Iv played alot since january but its been in Lift Clean and Place conditions......That my well change this week though as i played on saturday gone and the ball wasnt picking up much mud......Roll on this weekend.....

6 qualifiers so far this year. Winning the first in Jan stableford and got cut 1.2 One medal in buffer zone and others up .1.

Got April stableford on Sunday, and just hope I drive the ball better than I did at the Addington!

Gonna have a bash at a midweek medal tomorrow afternoon though. Not playing particularly well and very sporadic atm

Gave up my membership last April so nothing for over a year now. Buggar, because all but one of my rounds this year have been pretty good. Short courses off winter tees with crap greens. They seem to cancel each other out but tons of birdies and an eagle already this year. I'm guessing those might stop when I get onto the big boys courses later in the year.

First medal last Wednesday, shot 1 over , scrambled like mad. Got cut .4 to 4.6 , so good start to my season. Next week is first stableford of the year. I would love to get to 4 this year.

No cards in yet for me, pre season is going well though...Played today shot 71 with 5 birdies and 1 eagle unfortunately i had 2 bogeys and 2 doubles...3 twos though...roll my first competition.
