We had a light dusting overnight which froze and was just about enough to close the course, temperatures look like keeping it closed till about Sunday.

We have been closed all week due to the snow not clearing from the weekend. Only had about an inch but too cold to thaw it.
I live about 7 miles North of Yeovil we have barely seen any , just a very light dusting yesterday afternoon which disappeared.
Driving in to Yeovil to do the shopping looks like Yeovil itself got something similar.

I'm a bit shocked at the lack of road clearing here in Harrogate. There are quite a few roads if you drive down them....you will never be seen again. Walked up to the CO-OP this afternoon (just for a medicinal Staropromen) ....ambulance picking a lady off the ground, no clearing of walkways at all from anybody. Jeez...really wonder what would happen if things got really cold and snowy..... At least Monday before the ice starts melting.

I think its endemic of most councils, budget cuts and old equipment not replaced and lack of use at other times. Inverness used to be really good, they had a big fleet of Gritters and plows 15 years ago. The council still did the grass cutting and garden maintenance. the guys that did that gritted the pavements and covered street gritting etc. that was outsourced, so just summer casual. so no one to do any of those winter jobs, so few if any pavements get gritted. the fleets was getting old and with some years with no snow, they only replaced a fraction. so thats what they have now a fraction. only the main roads get done.

Closed again today, snow still not cleared on the greens and not likely to today either with temps still around freezing. Not looking good for tomorrow so might have to go and but new clubs instead (Qi10 irons, ex demo) 😁

We e had no more snow since Tue afternoon but the temperature since has been no higher than 2 or 3 degrees at most and consequently night time has been in the minus range , which is forecast for the weekend ,with this being the case golf will not be played and unfortunately I will probably not be fishing my final club match of the season as the lake will have a thick iced lid on it. This means I finish second in our club champs this season.

No snow here, just a hard frost
Still -4 out there now.
Greens will be frozen and all the pins have been moved to either the fringe or very front of the green.
Carry only and will be like this through the weekend, maybe some respite on Sunday but I'm not banking on it.
Getting a bit fed up with it........I know it's winter but it doesn't have to be this cold........

Harrogate seems to have been in a snow zone....one of the guys working on the house comes down from Thirsk (a little over 20 miles drive) and they have no snow now. Bring on Monday and the warmer temps. I don't think my closest course will be open until later in the week.

Harrogate was shown in the TV this morning, promo for the Harrogate v Leeds game. You could certainly see the amount of snow you've had. It will take a day or two of warm weather to shift and then you have to deal with the amount of meltwater it will leave behind. As you say, back end of next week for courses around there
