Hi all,
I have a quick question on handicaps which I'm sure someone can help with!
I am not a member of a club so use a free website to track my scores and also use a trusty pen and paper to work out my rough handicap.
I understand how to work it out but my question is do you use the gross score for the handicap or do you use adjusted gross score (ie. reduce everything down to double bogey or less) for the purpose of the handicap??
For example, taking my round today it was gross 97 but I had a couple of bad holes so adjusted gross is 93 when I've reduced those holes down to double bogey. Would I use the 97 or 93 against the SSS to work out my rough handicap?
Up to now I have used the gross score but not sure whether the website automatically reduces it or not for me.
Thanks in advance!
