The software running your competitions does all the Playing Handicap calculations.Find that really strange. The EG app tells you what your course handicap is, as does the chart on the 1st tee, both say course handicap is 15, no decimal places on there. Are we meant to do all the calculations ourselves rather than using the chart/app?
You need to know your Course Handicap, as this is what you should hole out with reference to in General Play and Stableford comps - sometimes PH is lower than CH, so the extra stroke(s) could make a difference to nett double bogey adjustments for handicapping if the ball is not holed out on the corresponding hole(s).
You don't need to do any of these calculations yourself. Just play golf and enter your score on the system afterwards.
