Matchplay doesn't count for handicap purposes does it? Conceded putts, holes not finished etc.

The Nike guys and I keep playing telephone tags.. so I think i will give up trying to get a clarification on my position and proceed to the next round.

Just a question on self harming the handicap.
1) If I play better than my HC in an Open Matchplay e.g. Nike. Do I need to cut my HC?
2) Is this rule only applicable to qualifying stroke play & stableford (both home and away) only or do they apply to Matchplay too?

H'cap cuts only apply to qualifying competitions which must be strokeplay against a measured course off full h'cap etc etc. Matchplay can't count as a h'cap qualifier.

stableford is a strokeplay competition, and everyone is now handicaped to stableford scoring anyway!
