If you've been cut by that much then your very capable of playing to below it, only a bandit withholds cards to ensure a higher handicap.

a stroke a hole is the most anyone should play to in comps anyway. :thup:
Could be -13, not knowing his point variable it could be 23.5 down to 18.4 so 0.3 would kick in at 19 so i make that -13, still a very good card :thup:

My last 4 games gives you a view of my (lack of) consistency 112, 97, 104, 92. However the final tally masks the fact that my blobs every few holes. My gross score are usually like Double, Bogie, Bogie, Par, Birdie, Bogie, Quad or over, Bogie, Par, Par, Quad or over...
So when they ignore those big blobs, suddenly my HC looks good!! Golf is a cruel game.

I'm confused, are those handicaps in your signature official as I can't find you anywhere on the HDID comps at your club and as a male player, your maximum would be 28 not 36? or, have you just put your 3rd card in and you have just been given your first official handicap of 18 and the others in your sig are what you have played to prior?

Great work Sherlock... Yes 18 is the first official one.
Will be on HDID over the next few days. The others were a 'playing' HC gave me to participate in his improver comps. So this year enrolled full on and handed my 3 cards. Last one went in on Fri and got the 18 on Sat evening, just in time for the Nike.

At least you got told your h/c had been cut,I played in a regional comp on what I thought was my h/c of 9.4 having played off that in a club comp the previous week.having played well and coming in second I was asked for proof of my h/c so I logged on to the club web site to get my h/c cert up on my phone,only to find I had gone down to 8.2 3weeks earlier due to some away cards for open comps I had done well in being entered to the club,my own fault for not checking,but felt like a proper cheat when I was dq'd.

Hmm, never picked up on that, playing away in a comp, what if a handicap certificate or CDH number would have been asked for?

Um... shouldn't you have adjusted your own hcp in the interim after playing those Opens? Adjust based on SSS on the course until CSS is confirmed.

Played a guy who is having a purple patch. He was playing off 14. So got 4 shots. Had a miserable day and lost 4&2. Got back to the club house, and apparently had been cut by 3 shots due to his performance earlier this week. Of the 3 extra shots that I could have had.. I won one, lost one and conceded one.
.. Looks like the universe is conspiring against me. It would have been much easier not to disclose my cut, but I guess personal integrity at play. Sorry rant & sour grapes..

I'm confused. Surely if your official handicap didn't come thru then you wouldn't have played the comp in the first place?
