Handicap change part 2

Well clearly they have. Do you really think they are going back to change it now?
No, but if the OP highlights it to them they have the chance to get things right!
What else coukd they be doing wrong.
Please remember, nobody is having a go or saying the OP isn't playing well the comments are aimed at his Club and it's procedures

You may be right but I would imagine they wouldn't admit to the initial error (as they should have known the card wasn't eligible to start with) and ignore anything the OP says. Just my opinion and like you say they may do other things wrong. Some clubs have very poorly trained and inexperienced people just trying to help out as best they can

So why not just say that at the beginning rather than make out people on here are just trying to take the gloss of it!!!

To the OP, well done good effort! Hope you keep on achieving!!
The handicap system is about us all playing on a level playing field, not about protecting handicaps. In the old days you could receive cuts by playing well and it was under observation.

Thank you nice to play half tidy golf on a regular basis

Don't know why people think there is an argument going on here. It's just two points:

1. Well done to the OP- amazing shooting and you shouldn't feel like you've not earned your mega huge cut.
2. Your club have failed to follow CONGU regulations

Neither of the above are undeniable. It's a good bet that a cut would happen in the next few weeks as the OP hasn't even been cut to what he performed at in his last round. The only downside is that the cut happened sooner than it (by the rules of golf) should have.

The OP should be happy. His FC's should be happy as well I'd imagine. I foresee future cuts based on his last round, which is great.

He hit the shots, he got cuts he deserved, but issued by an entity that failed to follow the rules.

It shouldn't be. ESR is based on CSS and CSS isn't used on Supplementary cards is it. Whilst the Op is obviously playing well, his club are doing a disservice by not applying the UHS properly.

Supplementary uses SSS as CSS! And there's no difference between a cut made by Supplementary and one through Competition as far as ESR is concerned.

A challenge to LpP....Show the area in the Congu manual where it states supplementary scores don't trigger EST (triggers)! Even 9 Hole (competition) scores are included these days, so Congu's intention appears to be to include as much as possible!

@DCB. Has Scotland started to use ESRs? I think not!

Oh and well done to the OP! Good luck on keeping it going!

Well played mate!

Dont worry about what certain people say on here....youll get get used to their posts and learn to ignore them as most do

Sorry but As that is no doubt aimed at myself what is exactly wrong with what has been posted on this thread ?

I'm quite happy to be one of those "certain people". There is a world of difference between playing a round having taken the plunge of declaring a Supplementary, and playing a casual round with your mates and saying after the round " that's a good score, I'll call it a qualifier".

I may be wrong but I thought the OP went up with the intention of putting a supplementary in and simply didn't know the procedure and the necessity to sign in before going out. Not a case of deciding to put it in after the event

No. You've got it wrong.

He said:

"Today I had a knock with my usual playing partners and shot a 81 (10 over par) so 10 shots under my handicap so I acctually put the card in to get a handicap change how much will I come down by putting this card in?"

A "knock" is not setting out to submit a Supplementary.

Yes you are wrong, in his initial thread he posted he played a round to 10, 10 under handicap and someone suggested afterwards he put the card in,

Fair enough. As I said I wasn't sure.
