Had an Eagle and lost the hole!

Played this morning in 4Ball Matchplay. We were on a temporary green on a par 5 and I had a 3.

Feeling extremely smug only for a 22 handicapper with a shot to chip in for a 3 which meant we lost the hole.

What is the worst situation that has happened to you? Despite losing that hole we did win the match!

1st hole of 4bb final last year.
me on green in reg 1 opp out of it, the second in deep rough short of green, thins it out of teh rough at exocet missile speed, looking to go Out of Bounds through the back of teh green, hits the flag and drops straight down into the hole. And he got a shot. 1 down
They chipped in another 3 or 4 times durnig the rest of the match as well

The delights of matchplay, another day you miss the 3rd, he just feels the need to chip it on to try and get position, fluffs it misses his birdie putt and you take the hole in 4, as you knocked it in he has nothing to lose and knocks it in. Dont you just love it.

i met a fella the other day who has got the dreaded hole in one with his provisonal ball. nice par big man

there were 5 of us playing a skins game yesterday and on the 7th hole i had a 10ft putt for a birdie 3 and one of the guys who is off 15 holed a belter from off the green for a 3 net 2........my birdie wasn't even good enough!!!!

i was level par for 9 and hadn't even won a skin,i had many chances to go under par but kept missing the putts.
