I played in a Junior Medal today and finished with a scratch 78 (Par 70). The wind did blow pretty hard so i was quite pleased as i did hit the ball great. I hit 4/15 FIR, 10/18 GIR and 34 putts. I was never really in deep trouble but i had 3 doubles . I think i should make buffer so heres hoping for next week :). Never lost a ball either:rolleyes: ;).

Anyone else play today? If so how did you get on? How many balls did you lose in the wind? ;)

Good shootin in the wind Owen.
I played yesterday.......Lost 4 balls and came away with 30 points.....I have to take positives from the round though......
I shot gross 88 nett 70 last weekend in a medal that was set up for low handicappers..Tees way back and tough pin positions...1`under par and a cut of 0.3.... Still off 18 though.....(17.8) exact :(

Not gutted - very happy.

Played the s/f of our singles matchplay.
Didn't lose any balls, played roughly to my handicap and won 7&5 because the other guy had a bit of a mare. Finished about 2 minutes before it peed it down as well!!

Well done mate...in the regional final of the HDID singles knockout in Sept. Playing a 14 handicapper at his place. Giving 5 shots away from home's going to be tricky methinks.

You'll be alreet :D

Just keep the pressure on, fairways and greens.

I was told my oppo 'might' crumble if I put a bit of pressure on, but that I was in trouble if he got some confidence going.

I hit my drive on the first about 40yds past his, then a wedge to about 6' and holed for the win. Just kept the ball in play and won all 4 of his shot holes on the front 9.

He'll be thinking he's in for a tough time playing a single figure golfer. You're the better player but he has to play you off levels on 13 holes!

Good luck mate, let us know how you get on.

You have mentioned your Par 3 problems a few times Homer. Are you working on something to fix it? There must be something to work on that can at least save you a couple of shots or are the Par 3s really hard at your place.
