After yesterday's shocking performance I decided to hit the range this morning.
I was there for first thing 09:00 am and I was the only person on the range.

Anyway one of the teaching pros spotted me and came over for a chat.
Basically I ended up getting a free 1/2 lesson should have cost me £30

Not often ya get something for free but I guess I do spend quite abit of money in the shop.

And I managed to sort out my shanking problem best £6 I've spent this year.

Nice, usually pros are too busy which is more than understandable knowing their job (and that most people want to chat to them).

A good pro has time for everyone, I had had a few pre round hints when I was hitting the ball badly from my pro, those were much appreciated from a very busy man. I had a good rapport with him, I believe that is important to have!

If I was you I would take the free lesson and then book an hour long or on course lesson with him to repay the favour! So really you are getting more lessons for your money. Any pro that makes time for a quick tip or watch a few putts/chips and offer some advice deserves more of your money! My pro used to practice putting at the same time as me during the week so I got the odd bit of advice, having chipping comps against the assistant pros is also fun. I have had a few casual 9s with the assistant pros before, always a good laugh as they are usually just playing to blow of stress from a busy day.

My lessons are only 30 minutes with the guy I see now. However they invariably last anything from 45-60 depending on whether he has anyone else booked in and I get the odd 10 minute "cast an eye" sessions as he wanders along the range.
