That’s all you can ask for to be fair.
Until players stop playing then clubs will still put them on.
Maybe a Florida or Vegas scramble would even things up a bit more

We have currently 7 open tee time spots for the comp , it’s getting more and more each comp

They used to be full within mins

I’ve been bambooing it for about 8 years now and def prefer them to plastic or painted wood tees. They're pretty strong and I’ll often finish a round with the same tee I started with (like yesterday) and none of that hard to remove paint streak on the underside of the driver
It helps that the club gives every player a few each time they play so I don't need to buy them either

Best save some pennies then as that wont happen when you return to the UK.

I use bamboo tees for fairway woods and hybrid off the tee - one hit and they are broke

Once the packet is done then it’s back to the wooden ones

Next question - if you find a tee on the course how do you know if it's wood or bamboo? Don't they kind of look the same?

Not my irritation, but I'm damned sure it irritates plenty of others.

There in lies a slight problem - buy the ones made of polypropylene (as in the picture) and they last and last buy the ones made of polystyrene and they break very quickly.

Mind you I have got about 200 of them and have never bought one in my life.

Next question - if you find a tee on the course how do you know if it's wood or bamboo? Don't they kind of look the same?

Try snapping in half - it breaks it is wooden if it does not it is probably bamboo. Watch out for splinters.

Yeah we go out knowing that we need to at least birdie every single hole to maybe have a chance so we just enjoy ourselves - we played very good golf this morning and prob left 2 out there but the sun was shining and we had a good laugh

Texas scrambles should just be off scratch. 4 chances at a shot should be enough for anyone

I think a maximum handicap allowance would be better.
Maybe scratch a bit low but not much more than that.
Maybe 10% of the combined handicap?

One of our stableford competitions this weekend was won by a person with a 10 handicap. Also in the top 10 were 5 single figure players. How am I supposed to moan on here about higher handicap players winning everything and single figure players not having a chance when we get results like this?
