Golf Random Irritations

Cleaned my wife's clubs just now (since they'll probably go away until May) and this was the state of her pitching wedge. Isn't it common sense to wipe the mud off on your towel after each shot?? How is she living like this on the course??

Wonder how much spin she got through 5mm of mud!

😳

I’ve never taught my wife to wipe her clubs after a shot but she does it instinctively. I thought it was just the done thing and common sense, even if you don’t know to clean the grooves surely you wouldn’t put it back in your back like that 😳

Imagine trying to chip with it and wondering why the ball doesn’t stop 🤣

I would have thought the same, but the common sense voice isn't usually the loudest one in her head.

Funnily enough I played with a pal of mine today, I was wetting my towel in the sink before the round and he asked what I was doing that for ‘I like to clean my clubs after each shot, saves me cleaning them at home’, and he admitted his clubs were covered in mud! Can’t understand people not at least giving them a wipe, especially when mud is on them!

Ah I normally end up with a few muddy clubs

Normally they’ve been slammed into the bag after a heavy chunky fat shot 😂

I could be on my way to the club right now
But I'm sat at home, in the warm, coffee in hand....
It's sub zero out there, the course is frozen, the greens are solid and the ball will triple in size picking up frost.....
And it's carry only....
Every year it takes less and less for me to say " bugger it, I'm staying in"
Irritating

Getting really annoyed with colour bleaching on my golf gear.
Seems like no matter what brand for shirts/shorts, the sun start to bleach the colours out within a dozen wears & by 2 dozen its almost time to relegate it for ‘range’ use just to get some more wear out of them

Skycaddie software update...
Before I updated I was able to move the flag position on the green and I'd get an instant yardage.
Now I can't..I have to tap a button which let's me move the pin into position as if I had a pin sheet...eg 7 yards from the left and 12 yards from the front. Tap the button again and I get my yardage
But we don't have pin sheets, except for Club Champs.
This feature was already available by hitting a different button..which I never used because, well, we don't have pins sheets.
A totally useless update which has rendered the unit far less useful than it was...will be thinking twice in August when it's renewal time.....🤬

Now there is an advert for using mats in winter.

If you're looking for sympathy for living in a tropical paradise, you're not going to get it on this forum at this time of year as we head into winter :ROFLMAO:

Most of my shirts I buy when I go to Thailand each year, do not have a problem with any of them for the past 15 years, plus the odd one I win in OZ does not fade either.

Any well known brand/s?
Any brand you want......at one shop they just go out back and you can hear the machine start up......have Titleist that are 15 years old and will not wear out or fall out of shape, now I normally buy from Golf Course Shop with logo, e..g Black Mountain and they have their own brand.....still have their shirts that are 10 years old and no problems.
