Golf Random Irritations

I heard that the senior guys who moved over to LAB were originally with Odyssey so can imagine some earlier designs were kept with Odyssey etc
I don't know about that. I've nothing against Odyssey as I use one, but they frequently seem to copy other manufacturers' designs. They had another one that looks quite a lot like the Spider.

It's because they are all designed by computer algorithms - same reason that all cars are looking the same.

If you're skint enough to actually need sign-off on golf balls, maybe you shouldn't be playing.

If you need her permission to spend money, well that opens up a whole can of worms. Many of which are none of our business....
I don’t ask, I do … I don’t have time for opinions that differ to mine though 🤣

Err.. no? Here it is from above without the stripe - next to a LAB.

It’s not much different to people using the same anser model etc

They will always be a variant of some of model

One of the Lab putters is very close to being like a fang one

The thing with the Odessey - it’s about £300 cheaper

Usually, but that one is still £370. Obviously the plan is to copy their design and only undercut them by around £100. 😄

Booking a tee time tomorrow afternoon and then being reminded by the Wife that she's out with a mate and I have the Child to look after.

Balls.

How much does a buggy cost these days?? Just booked one for both days of our upcoming golf trip for my wife, and they've said it costs £36 per day! Seems steep! I was thinking 25...
£25 for members where I play and £30+ is quite common at places I have played, I have seen £40 this year.
Lots of clubs hire the buggies so I bet the companies that loan them have put their prices up. If electric the cost to recharge has gone up a lot.

The putter with the hole in the back is a really old design. Probably something like 20+years ago, long before LAB existed.

When I looked at some of the LAB designs Never Compromise putters came to mind.

Had a quick look around not much different to this really (add in a centre shaft)

n 2009, Thomas R. Hilton of Cardiff, CA patented a club with a removable aft portion and "a ball scoop for picking up a golf ball without the need to bend down" (U.S. Patent #US 2009/0170629 A1).

I don't care about the hole, I was talking about them copying the exact overall shape. The outline.

Got invited to play with two friends at another course earlier today but was already booked in with someone at my place. 10 minutes before the tee time, no sign of my playing partner, sent a message, no reply.

No show.

Course rammed with 2 balls playing knockout comps, too late to join my friends, I played 9 holes (5 over par) but gave up as it was very, very slow.
