A quick trip over to Mission Hills for Royal Ascot weeks sounds easy. ;)

No but it is a bucket list for sometime in the future. Some have made the trip
I used to live in Hong Kong and heard it was great, quite a few people joined. I didn't have the time or money.

Looks like a great list of reciprocals though. We have the Braid courses which allow reduced fees but no reciprocals.

Never great to see courses booked out for external visitors during prime slots

Is it a members course or proprietary courses

Anytime that’s done it just looking for the extra money

We have no societies at weekends
Private, and we are not short of money.

It does seem like the club is run primarily for couple of big groups who play in the morning.

As an unasahamedly biased member of East Renfrewshire, if you ever get up here and get the chance to play it, do so. They have made a tremendous number of improvements to the course over the last 5 years and it is in great condition, and with wonderful views as well.

It is on a list. Got three others so we're just trying to be a big hire car, drive up and have a week playing up there. Just need to get dates sorted and permission from the better halves, which is the trickier part

I have a visit to Saunton next Wednesday. My first outing on the East Course. 😁
Playing in the seniors open? I'm in that.
I've played the West course in benign conditions and scored well.
Played the East course last year when the rough was long and the wind was howling. Got thoroughly beaten up and lost 6 balls. Hoping for better next week.

You've set a low bar though. Reminds me of the first time on the Nicklaus at St Mellion. Nearly waved the white flag by 13

:rolleyes:Last month it was a 16 index player not losing a shot to the 95%comp rule and I did..
This month it's a 9.9 indexer not losing a shot to the 95% rule when, once again, I did....
Getting mildly miffed about it to be honest........

amazing course, hope you have good weather, when the wind is blowing it's a bit tricky, You'll have a great time though I'm sure
Yes. Teeing off at 12:10. I’ve played the west in a gale. 8 irons into par 5s and drivers into par 3s that couldn’t get anywhere near.

I keep on meaning to play it.
Played it over 30 years ago before they built the Motorway.
It's on the Braids scheme so is affordable. Be good to try it again.

Scum on e-bikes damaging all 18 holes at Bootle golf club.
This is a council run municipal so no Augusta but as cash strapped as they are they've kept it going and even put a range there. They're providing a facility for the good of the community and trust me Bootle needs it. Bet they're thinking why bother?
I feel the implementation of Sharia law can't come soon enough.
