Golf Random Irritations

we have two of these down the left hand side of our 7th hole....there is no reason to drive a buggy through them....you have a 30 yard wide fairway you can drive down.
Fair enough, maybe they thought it was the cart path or something. Not excusing them but I think it might be a mistake rather than malicious

That's sad. I missed a whole summer several years ago through sciatica and so frustrating watching my friends in all the big comps and matches. I did go up to the club to at least feel part of things but it was so hard not even being able to putt. Get well soon
Thanks Homer. I’ll still go to the club for the home games to give a bit of support. A 15 minute walk so I can even watch with a pint in my hand.

Got two arms so one should be good for lifting a pint. Try not to get too frustrated. I think I did and tried to rush back thinking a few putts or chips would be ok. Not it wasn't

Hit my drive on the 7th and suddenly my left shoe felt very loose. Turns out the Boa lace had snapped completely. Managed to tie a knot in the loose end of it which stopped the shoe falling off, but I had a very loose-fitting shoe for the rest of the round, and walking up and down a very hilly course I can feel a few blisters coming on now! 😬

How old? Any chance of a refund?

I had a boa lace snap in my eccos. If you go to the BOA website and submit pics they will send you a full repair kit. Very impressive customer service.

Had them three years I think, pretty good innings.

Oh cheers, I was just going to toss them since they've already served me pretty well but I'll have a look for that tomorrow.

One of the reasons I never liked the BOA system but I never knew there was a repair kit available. I thought once they had snapped that was it. Every day a school day

The ridiculous PCC In golf. Played 9 yesterday, played really well. Got a decent card to go onto the handicap , woken up to a 0.1 cut , thought was 0.2... looked at the card.. -1 PCC. Oh do one. It wasn't easy yesterday I was just striking it pure

Golfers elbow/tendonitis in my right arm. I have been managing it ok for a couple of months but it has gotten to the stage when I need to rest it. Consequently I have withdrawn from the next few club competitions. Looks like my clubs could be stowed away for the next few months. 😢
FitforGolf has some good exercises to deal with this, all you need is a club, sorted mine out really quickly.

That’s what happens when you swing like Scottie Scheffler.

PCC, like "expected score" is one of life's great mysteries. Like crop circles, nobody knows how or why, they just do.

The four seniors with two carts and two electric trolleys who needed to walk round in a group on Sunday morning. Also playing off multiple tees just to add to the fun. Did they keep the carts to the path and fairway? Of course not. Did they rake bunkers? Of of course not.

They had lost two holes to the group in front by the 7th causing carnage behind. Even when the group following were stood on the tee with them they wouldn’t let them through.

Thankfully they only played 9 so the back 9 was played at a much better pace.

I would agree as surely they would have tried to do more damage if they were being wanton and malicious
Its signposted as a waste area at the beginning (the far end as shown in the picture which is looking back up the fairway towards the tee) and there is a 10 inch drop to get into it....you cant drive into it by accident (unless you are simply not looking where you are going)

I dont believe they were being malicious....just bloody stupid.

My bet is that one of them had hit a shot tight down the left (the waste areas gather most shots hit to the left) and they decided to drive down through the waste area to see if they could spot their ball on the little strip (3ft) of land between the waste area and the boundary hedge.
