Golf Days UK Pairs

Whys everything always Norfolk, Essex & Surrey, why not filter the Midlands in, especially as the final is at the Oxfordshire?

I wonder why they have their singles events off 3/4 but their betterball is off full handicap

Hi, the reason is that for the singles events we don't insist on club handicap certificates... whereas for the pairs competition we have just launched we insist on active CONGU certificates to be shown. So full handicap is what we have decided.

Hope that clears it up for you...

Best,

Ben

Hi Robin,

The reason being that we are utilising our amateur tour areas - there are already very successful am tours in the Midlands...

Cheers,

Ben

Earlier in the year you said you were hoping to expand to the northern home counties/bottom end of the midlands next yr? do these other tours now mean that wont be happening? and which other tours are you referring to?

Hi Fundy,

We are looking to expand the tours in 2014, we are currently looking at various counties in the UK.

There are many tours already running in the Midlands/Northern area of the UK and we are focused on bringing our tours to the Southern areas of the UK...

Best,

Ben

Feel free to attack Beds, Bucks, Herts, Oxon, Nhants, Cambs area - pretty short of decent opens or a tour round these parts

the only one i was aware of and cant say it really appealed

Those Midlands one's are far too expensive and not appealing to those of us who are local to them. I can play all those at less than half those prices with my county card. OK there's some food but that doesn't equate to the other 50% even taking prizes into consideration.

A much lesser cost with no food would get a much better attendance IMHO.

I agree after looking at that midlands tour thing. A tour in the mould of the Norfolk/Surrey ones ive seen on here would do well in the anywhere I reckon as they are well run and reasonably priced. People cant afford be shelling out 70, 80 quid a pop all the time.
