Golf around Torquay area

Looking at getting away for a few days at the end of August with the other half down in the Torquay area.

Has anybody got any good recommendations as the other half has agreed for me to put my clubs in the boot and let me go for an early morning round or two! Get in!

Possibly looking for somewhere that isn't too far out, preferably links as I live in Birmingham so it would be nice to try and make the most of the opportunity of being on the coast!

Played Torquay golf course a few years back, decent course, really friendly, bit exposed on top of the cliffs, not links course, but on your doorstep.
