Yep. Its tough going when we're hitting 5 irons into greens and someone else is hitting wedges![]()
Don't worry lads, I'll find a decent par 3 pitch and putt course for the event

Will there be mulligans for fluffed chips?
Course 'Par' is relatively meaningless in comparison to the 'Standard Scratch Score' - the real measure of Par for the course.
I've played a few rounds recently round a wee SSS66-Par69 links - shooting 69 there is no better than 75 round my home course (SSS72-Par72) even if it's 'technically' level par versus +3...
If the lowest Gent's score is 74 versus an SSS of 73 and the lowes Ladies score is 74 versus an SSS of 74, then the FD wins...
Played a friendly club scratch match versus the Lothians Ladies team a couple of years back - ladies played off the reds, we played off the whites and had a very good game. That was matchplay though - if the tourney is strokeplay then some adjustment should be made if the SSS's aren't equal.
28 possibles so far.....any more??
Looks like this might be worth doing![]()
to keep it in true scratch open style, you need a ballot![]()

Just have a handicap limit of 6 or better Gordon .Good point Patrick!
I'll set the entry number at one less than the number of applicants and we can ballot out the highest handicapper![]()
any thoughts on a location?
K Club ,, do ye lot the world of good to get a passport ha![]()
i wouldn't travel to the home of some of the finest links courses in the world and play a parkland course![]()
