Are you going to watch it?

Leader is eating up the par 5s. Must be a bomber.

Hopefully in the afternoon on Friday, can't get away much earlier but it looks like they are playing well after my work hours so I might pop round after work tomorrow also.

Would be good to see how some of them play our course and especially our par 5's as there bloody tough holes, not just distance but mainly all into wind and uphill so if there's a bomber out there, he must also be as straight as an arrow!

Make sure you do catch some. Bound to pick up some great course management tips of these good young players.

Liam at Blackmoor had a triple on the second, but recovered to finish two under. Four under on the back nine.

For those that follow Mark Crossfield and his partner in crime Steve Buzza, well Steve is playing in this too. Shot +3 today. Great to see how a more familiar face gets on in actual competition rather than just on YouTube etc.

His twitter response this afternoon said the greens were as good as he's played this year and were pretty fast! Not surprising given the 11.2 stimp.

Looking at where he got his birdies he obviously prefers a fade or left to right shaped hole, the 2nd is a naughty right to left dogleg and can catch a lot of players out, it can be a tough start, but then again, it can be a tougher finish also

He plays at Blackmoor so he is bound to favour a fade.:) Good recovery from being three over after two.

Say hello to him if you see him. He is a good lad, and you can tell him you won a major at Blackmoor.

Most sensible length par threes are par chances.

Lay up on that one. Silly place to rack up a double.

What stroke index?

Our assistant George Howard is 1 over and looks like holes 5, 6 and 7 cost him dearly. He actually left the shop's staff on Monday and will be missed - very likeable young man!!

Si5, its always the toughest par3 when looking at course stats on HDID after every comp, it doesn't look much but has trees tight down the left, trees and fairway bunker down the right, long narrow green with greenside bunkers left & right, it takes plenty of prisoners as it sucks players in to have a go!

What are course and weather conditions like. Did the early starters get any benefit or disadvantage with the weather

Weather has been excellent all day, warm & humid, no rain, course is in 110% condition throughout, some excellent comments from many of the Pro's on Twitter on how good the course is and especially our greens.

I might try to put a decent meet together towards the end of the season, nobody would be disappointed playing it

Had a look at that hole. Looks a tricky par but easy enough 4.

Certainly room for someone to lay up. Bogey would be no disgrace.

You'll be disappointed with the choice of real ale, we had some nice Stallion in the last few weeks but that just got replaced with Doombar :(
