G30 SF tec driver

I was fitted for the G30 SF Tec at AG in Monument, but wanted to try hitting out to a proper range, so went to an AG with a range. I hit the G30 well, but the fitter saw I had Yonex irons and said to try the Yonex Ezone XP. It was a revelation!! Didn't feel like I really had to go at it to get it out there and was much straighter.

Most people overlook Yonex, but personally I would say have a look and see if it works for you. I'm certainly happy with mine and is longer and straighter than my old TM R11S.

I have one and the best thing I did was swap the shaft. I got a PX 6.0 black off here and it is a good inch and a half shorter than the stock ping shaft. I admit the sound is very different from other ping offerings and the turbulators I don't think add much, but it goes well and far enough... however I do like the look of the TM M1 ;)

I love my SLDR and being a high handicapper I am far from consistent, so, I find it quite forgiving :smirk:

Thats what I was saying how it's odd that some players of the same hcap do or do not get on with the same clubs.

Will it cure the dreadful feeling of the face

Depends what's wrong with your swing! My current issue is no shoulder turn, this was causing a real dead feel of all of my woods no matter how out the middle the strike was, I was also losing the ball high right very consistently. An hour with the pro and now I'm back hit easy soft draws with a much more powerful flight swinging smoother than i was before

I got fitted with the g30 sf tec 12* about a month ago. I was advised to have it set at +1* the shaft was cut down by 1/2" and a +1/16" grip fitted. All changes from my RBZ that I was playing with. I hit the fairway more times than not, and when I do miss, the direction is off rather than a slice. First few rounds I was disappointed with the distance but as my confidence grew I've started hitting it further. My RBZ would still get a further but as I was only hitting maybe 2 good drives a round it was not worth it. Also with thr RBZ when I hit it bad it was REALLY bad. Talk about a banana shot I'm sure it used to start coming back sometimes! There is no way I'm letting the G30 go.

Couple of our swindle has purchased them recently and love them -

I preffered the LS version

I've not been to Oulton Hall driving range since buying mine, with my G25 I couldn't hit the back fence. With the G30 in hand I can hit the back fence, didn't think I'd gained any yards with it but I must have.
