Having so much trouble with this club and its one of the most forgiving on the market..
Ive got rid of qll my old drivers

i didnt get on with the g25 either

anybody had the same experience with this club?

any recommendations for a new one, i dont mind an older club

I briefly had one and it is dead off the face, didn't notice distance loss though, I just couldn't stop it going left.
Loving my new driver though, with all the hoo ha around the new release the v series has largely been forgotten, it's a lovely driver, mines the 9 degree with the speeder shaft

I have one these, best driver I have had. Long enough and so forgiving.

it does feel a little dead and sound is not the best but it's results that count.

Have you considered that you might have the wrong shaft in it (for you). I have tried drivers that have felt dead off the face Then tried them with a different shaft and they have been fine.

Just feels dead off the face.
short
dont get anywhere near the feedback that i did from my SLDR

You would think it would as it,s called a fairway finder
but for me no

I'll give you £50 and a Twix to take it off your hands :D

This driver was 1 of many that I tested very early in the year and I think prior to its release, it was never described to me as the most forgiving club out on the market, it was only punted to reduce spin but was also aimed towards the more experienced golfer, I didn't like it or get on with it, so it's description was right, as I'm a chomper 😂

You're getting confused between the LS and the SF versions. The LS is the one you're talking about, the SF is the anti-slice version not the low spin one.

It's odd how some drivers suit one but others don't. I paid top whack for the SLDR when it same out and in the end I was that frustrated ( without using any naughty step words) I could of given it to the scrap dealing gypos for nowt.
I was at the end of my tether.
So much so that when I was offered one of these Ping drivers ex demo from Worksop for £120 is was reluctant to splash out on shiny stuff again. It has been fantastic for me. So much so it's screwed up my game to the extent I am on parts of the fairway I have never been before using clubs like 6 and 7 irons instead of fairway woods.
The strange thing is because I now hit the fairway more often the confidence standing on the tee is something I have never felt with the SLDR. Even Bogey holes/ drives don't bother me. Our par five 4th hole is a shot over the water with your second shot if your drive is long enough, with trees down the Lhs. The last three drives have seen me able to get over the water in two. I have never ever been able to do that before.
did not find the SLDR forgiving at all. I would be tempted to have a lesson before getting rid.

I'm getting the exact same experience as the OP, whilst the G30 SF is forgiving (still not enough for my hacks) I really have lost distance

I tried all of the top names new offerings earlier in the year and the G30 and Callaway XR were head and shoulders above the rest for me. Its what you feel comfortable with. If you dont like it, go and try 10 drivers or suck it up and get custom fit for one somewhere. Ive just done it with Irons and ended up with some that i would never of picked off the shelf in a million years as they arent made by callaway, titleist, Ping or TM.

I love my SLDR and being a high handicapper I am far from consistent, so, I find it quite forgiving :smirk:

I have this driver and it is a fairway finder, not lost any distance on it though, in fact, compared to the 913 D2 I have gained 10 yards.

I'd have a look at the shaft options 1st before forking out more cash on a replacement.
